Whether you are contemplating repairing, renovating, or expanding your home, we can help you with some of the most difficult decisions. We offer honest, unbiased input as to what needs to be done, what should be done and what is optional or unnecessary.
Don't know the difference between a footer and a football? We will explain the key issues in simple terms. Sometimes just identifying what TYPE of work needs to be done is all that is needed. Our engineers have a minimum of 25 years experience in housing design, construction and troubleshooting. We will come to your home, analyze the issue(s) and make verbal recommendations. If needed, a written report of our findings and recommendations can be prepared for you to use in locating and evaluating potential contractors.
We do not endorse or recommend contractors, nor do we prepare contracts for work to be done. However, we can evaluate contracts prior to your signing one.
It's never too late - or too early - to call!!
No matter what stage you are at with your project, whether you are ankle deep in water, just dreaming about what can be done, or are staring at a pile of estimates that range from the mysterious to the absurd, we can provide answers to your questions.
Call us before you call the contractor . . .
Do you have an idea for expanding that dining room? Is your plumbing giving you fits? We can arm you with the foreknowledge that will give you confidence in dealing with contractors to get estimates for the work that you actually want and need.
. . . or, call us after you call the contractor . . .
If you already have input from some contractors and your handy Uncle Frank, and are more confused than ever as to what suggestions really should be considered, give us a call. We will look at the problem FIRST, then we can look at the estimates you have and determine which, if any, are actually addressing the issue. . . . and, call us before you make that final payment. While you still have leverage, call us to make that "final" inspection with you to ensure that not only the scope of the contract is met, but that the workmanship and overall quality are acceptable. Building officials WILL NOT address workmanship issues unless they affect code compliance or permits. Let us help you make sure the work is completed properly.
